The Syrian Youth Assembly is a non-political, non-governmental youth organization that works with civil society in a nonprofit manner. Licensed in Germany and operating in a decentralized system around the world, it was founded by a group of young Syrians who were present at the World Humanitarian Summit 2016.
The assembly aims to create effective and sustainable development in the community through qualified staff and effective partnerships working on a number of programs And projects professionally based on systems that are transparent and fair in both social, economic and cultural aspects. The assembly is specialized in working with Syrian youth in Syria and all countries of the world between the ages of 18-35 years. The assembly works in a full electronic format, and working within the group is voluntary work.
Through strong partnerships with companies and organizations around the world, Syrian youth have the opportunity to empower their voices and participate in building peace and gaining more opportunities for education and development. We are a team of 30 people from education experts, technicians, student supporters, project managers, entrepreneurs, regulators, analysts, coffee drinkers, dreamers and actors, who work together in this task daily.
The assembly is an organization accredited by the International Youth Federation / Accreditation number: 1200.
The assembly is a member of the United Network of Young Peacebuilders based in The Hague.
The Association is a member of the United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth based in New York.
Opportunities and responsibilities
You can use your entrepreneurial spirit to help organize the work of the various volunteer team and support the implementation of new recruitment processes for volunteers within all assembly teams.
You can develop together with the HR Manager the volunteer work mechanisms, the rules of procedure and the Code of Conduct for Volunteers.
You are introducing your intervention to improve knowledge management from a volunteer and human resources management perspective throughout the organization.
Evaluation of teams and organization of training and training programs for volunteers.
Contribute ideas to improve internal community management efforts and organize the internal activities of volunteers.
You share the vision of building peace, supporting youth and raising awareness.
Able to commit to volunteer work.
You have excellent written and oral skills in English.
You have strong and talented communication skills to visualize creative content.
Academic background or related knowledge.
